Doctor of Dental Surgery
Dr. Dan Utley received his degree in dentistry from the University of Nebraska in 1986, where he graduated #1 in his class in clinical performance. He received awards for his outstanding abilities in Operative Dentistry and Endodontics. He also received the award as the Outstanding Graduate in the General Practice Program, and was selected to be a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon--the national dental honor society.
He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Utah Dental Association. He is also a member and past president of the Southern Utah Dental Society.
Dr. Utley was born and raised in Richfield, Utah. He married his high school sweetheart, Patricia Valantine, and they have six sons (plus six daughters-in-law), two daughters, and 10 grandchildren. He attended Brigham Young University and served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Portugal.
Dr. Utley enjoys spending time with his family hiking, camping, boating, and riding ATVs. His other hobbies include fly fishing, scuba diving, playing racquetball and pickleball, and racing cars.

Doctor of Dental Surgery
Dr. Tyler Utley studied dentistry at Loma Linda University where he graduated at the top of his class in both didactic and clinical performance. He was inducted into the dental honors society Omicron Kappa Upsilon. He was awarded scholarships for outstanding performance in basic sciences and operative dentistry and was also chosen as 1 of 3 students to be selected each year nationwide for the American Dental Association Foundation Scholarship for his outstanding achievements in school.
Dr. Tyler was born in St. George, UT, and enjoys spending time outdoors biking, riding motorcycles, and wake-boarding. He also has a passion for racing cars and has competed at the international level. After graduating from Snow Canyon High School in 2005 he served a mission in Mexico City. Upon returning he met and married his amazing wife, Clare Peterson, and they now have two beautiful daughters that bring incredible joy to their lives.
Dr. Tyler enjoys exploring the latest and greatest technologies in dentistry and is constantly implementing them into his practice. He takes pride in running his practice based on honesty and integrity and believes that satisfying his patients is what brings so much success to the dental practice.
Doctor of Dental Medicine
Dr. Colton was born in St. George, Utah. He grew up in Santa Clara and attended Snow Canyon High School, graduating in 2011. He then attended Dixie State University before serving an LDS mission in Thailand. He later graduated from Utah Valley University Summa Cum Laude. While there, he met and later married his wife Daisha Van Der Watt. Dr. Colton received his DMD degree from Roseman University of Health Sciences in South Jordan, Utah, graduating in April 2022 as one of the top in his class.
Dr. Colton enjoys mountain biking, bowling, ceramics, and scuba diving.
Dr. Colton believes strongly in patient autonomy and in helping patients understand and play an integral part in their treatment planning.
