Fixing gaps between teeth: cosmetic dentistry options 

At St. George Dental Care, we will begin by examining your teeth and gums, taking measurements, an impression of your teeth and pictures.  Based on the size of the space in between your teeth and your overall oral health, we will make a customized recommendation for which treatment option will work best for you.  If you need crowns or veneers, the actual procedure is very similar. 

Same-Day Crowns.  As a family dentist in St. George, we can place crowns around your teeth to close gaps, cover dark stains, and change the overall shape or size of your teeth.  In order to do so, we will use specialized software to create a 3D image of your teeth and to create a blueprint for the dental crowns.  The milling machine in our cosmetic dentistry office will then create the crowns while your teeth are being prepared.  When placing dental crowns, we must first remove a portion of the enamel from all around your tooth since a crown is a cap that surrounds it entirely.

Dental veneers.  As a veneers dentist in St. George, we can place veneers on the front of your existing teeth to close gaps in between them.  The results look similar to that of dental crowns, but less enamel needs to be removed. 

Dental implants.  If the gaps in between your teeth were created by one falling out, we can replace it with a dental implant in our cosmetic dentistry office.  This is the most durable and permanent tooth replacement option and once placed, it will blend in with your surrounding natural teeth.  We practice sedation dentistry so while this is a surgical procedure, you will remain entirely comfortable during it.
