A Veneers Dentist in St. George Can Improve Your Smile

  • As a veneers dentist in St. George, we specialize in creating beautiful smiles.  If there is something you do not like about the way that your teeth look, you do not have to live with it.  In fact, we can help you to have the smile that you have always wanted while keeping your natural teeth intact.  There are several methods that we use, one of the most popular being – dental veneers.  If you are unfamiliar with what they are or how the process works, here is what you need to know –

What are Dental Veneers?

  • They are a shell that can be made of porcelain or ceramic.  They are incredibly thin but also very durable when bonded to your natural tooth.  A veneer does not replace your tooth, but it does essentially replace the enamel which is the hard outer layer of your tooth.  It is placed directly onto the surface so that your tooth remains intact.

What is the process when visiting a veneers dentist in St. George?

  • When you visit our dental office, you will have more options than what is offered to you at the typical cosmetic dentist office.  That is because we offer chairside veneers in addition to the traditional method.  There are significant differences between the two processes, and both are effective at producing beautiful and natural looking teeth.Traditional method: We take an impression of your mouth along with measurements then review a shade card with you to determine the exact shade that your veneers should be created in.  That information is then sent to the dental lab so that your permanent veneers can be created.  Since veneers lay on top of your teeth, enamel must be removed from them to ensure that they do not make your teeth appear larger.  Afterward, temporary veneers are secured to your teeth to protect them from any unnecessary sensitivity.  Once the permanent set is ready, you come back in to have the temporary ones removed, and the permanent set bonded in place. Chairside method: This process is different in that we take digital images of your teeth and upload them into our CAD/CAM software so that the computer can create a blueprint for the exact size and shape of your new veneer.  While we are preparing your tooth, our milling machine will print the veneers while you wait.  With the chairside method, you do not need to wear a temporary or come back in for a second visit.  This is why many people choose to visit us, as a veneers dentist in St. George, instead of a typical cosmetic dentist.  We make the process much easier and faster.

What can veneers do for my smile?

  • Veneers are incredibly popular because of the diverse range of issues that they can correct.  We can use them to cover dark stains so that teeth look brilliantly white.  They can also be used to close gaps in between teeth and change their overall shape and size.  Many Hollywood stars have used this solution to give them a red carpet worthy smile and yours can look just as stunning.
